The quality of the ingredients, like Natural Peanut Butter and local jams are what really take these sandwiches to the next level.
Support your community’s womanpreneurs! It’s interesting how most Zero Waste businesses are run by women. It’s as if we don’t like the idea of cleaning up after everybody else 😉 This Zero Waste business is no exception – nudeMarket is a woman-run, girl-boss project.
There’s a lot to consider when thinking about women’s experiences within the business world. Their ventures tend to start smaller, stay smaller, bring in less revenue than those owned by men, and about 90% of female business owners employ no one but themselves. Women tend to invest more of their own savings and personal credit into their businesses than men, and when women attempt to secure business loans, they tend to receive less and pay higher rates. Those are just a few of the obstacles women face in this circumstance, because I don’t have all day. It’s important to support our women in business when there are so many goddamn hurdles in place. Imagine a world where women are 100% empowered to blaze their own trail.
Worthy Jam, another Calgary-based woman-led venture and I have a recipe that will let you taste just how good it is to support women in business. It will blow your mind: Fried PB and J sandwiches. The quality of the ingredients is what really takes these sandwiches to the next level. My peanut butter consists of dry-roasted nuts and nothing else; it’s non-GMO and Aflatoxin-free. Worthy Jam’s delicious fruity spreads are made in small batches with incredible flavours, like Chocolate Blueberry and Earl Grey Lavender Peach.
